Passing of Dr J Edmund Riding CBE

It is with great sadness that the College announces that Dr J Edmund Riding CBE, past dean of the Faculty of Anaesthetists (1976–1979), has died.

Dr Riding held the position of Editor of the British Journal of Anaesthesia for 10 years, between 1963 and 1973.

Our thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.
