Megan Leach
I have been a full time Carer, having supported my grandparents for 11 years I am closely involved with NHS and North East London NHS Foundation Trust (NELFT), acting as ambassador for the service, sourcing patient interviews and linking into local consultations developing third sector links with local charities and other organisations. I am passionate about improving patient experiences, particularly through ensuring patient voices are heard. I am Carer Champion for North East London NHS Foundation Trust
I have attended focus groups/events, Buddy Scheme (Buddy Scheme | EPUT) and consulting on Trust policies (new and existing)
I also have experience in taking part in the Patient Led Assessments of the Care Environment (PLACE) Guidance and Information for Assessors within the new Basildon hospital urgent mental health department
I hope to contribute to the co-production, collaboration, and an elevation of minority voices drives me to work for the improvement of all. Being involved in my voluntary experiences allows me to contribute to make health care services more reflective of the community we serve and to ignite, change to amplify voices and create a network that will open doors for a transformative change.
In my spare time, I like to go to historical re-enactments. I also have an interest in science and love travel and tourism.
