Dr Hannah Catton
I graduated from the University of Southampton in 2014 and have undertaken all of my postgraduate medical training so far in the Thames Valley deanery. After initially toying with the idea of becoming a paediatrician, a taster week in anaesthetics inspired me to apply and I commenced my specialty training in 2016. It’s safe to say that I haven’t looked back!
I have been the Chair of the Junior Doctor Forum across two Trusts and for five years I have co-led a regional simulation course in obstetric anaesthetic emergencies. Most recently, I have taken on the role of OxDAT President and I am excited about the year ahead.
Outside of medicine, I am mum to two small boys aged 1 and 4 and wife to Andy. Having recently moved house I am now thrilled to have a garden with a vegetable patch, and a garage so I can continue my Peloton addiction – which is essential, as I do a lot of baking in any spare time I have.
