As updated information becomes available through MHRA Central Alerting System (CAS) on a Supply Disruption Alert, we will communicate directly with our fellows and members to keep them abreast of developments.

Clinical Directors are requested to discuss contingency measures with their Medical Directors and pharmacies. Details of the contingency plans should be cascaded to consultants, SAS doctors and trainees directly involved in the delivery of care.

Existing supplies of Marcain Heavy should be reserved for all areas that cannot use an alternative giving priority to obstetrics.
