Election to Council 2020: ballot open
The College Council election ballot is open for three consultant vacancies until 2 December 2019 at 12 noon.
This ballot is being conducted electronically and all those eligible to vote should now have received an email with instructions about how to do so. To ensure the process is independent and fair, the College is again working with leading ballot services provider Electoral Reform Services (ERS) to conduct the election, so messages about this election will come from: RCoAvote@electoralreform.co.uk
The College encourages all eligible to vote to do so.
Candidates for the consultant vacancies (three to elect to serve a term of six years) are:
- Dr Sridhar (Sri) Gummaraju
- Dr Ros Bacon
- Professor Jonathan Thompson
- Dr Abrie Theron.
Frequently asked questions
Who can vote?
In response to feedback, we have opened the voting in the consultant category to all members, associate members and trainees, in addition to fellows and associate fellows.
I have not received my email ballot, what do I do?
If you have not received an email ballot and believe you should have, please note the following:
- please check 'Who can vote?' above to ensure that you are entitled to vote
- electronic ballots were sent by email on 30 October 2019 to your primary email address registered with the College
- look out for a message from RCoAvote@electoralreform.co.uk
- if you can’t locate the email, please check your junk mail
- if you still can’t locate the message, please email ceo@rcoa.ac.uk and include your College reference number.
I am retired and I don’t wish to vote in this election
There is no compulsion to vote in this election. Due to College regulations we do have to offer retired fellows a vote but you can just ignore the ballot message. If you would prefer not to receive reminders to vote (there will be two reminder messages), please contact ceo@rcoa.ac.uk and include your College reference number.
