Election for Co-option to RCoA Council: results announced
Voting for election for co-option to the Council of the Royal College of Anaesthetists closed at 12 noon on Wednesday 21 September 2022.
The College is pleased to confirm that the following candidates have been elected, with terms of office commencing in September 2022.
Co-opted Anaesthetist in Training or Fellow in Training vacancies (two to elect):
-
Matthew Tuck
-
Giovanna Kossakowska
Dr Fiona Donald, President of the Royal College of Anaesthetists said:
“I would like to thank the thirty-two candidates who stood for these two positions on our Council.
“I am particularly pleased that even with the current challenges to both professional and personal lives, the Anaesthetist in Training and Fellow in Training members have shown that they are willing to give their time and experience to their peers and to their College. They will now work with fellow College members, volunteers and staff to advance the work we are doing on behalf of all the members, but particularly those in training posts, formal or otherwise.
"Congratulations and a very warm welcome to Matthew and Giovanna and I look forward to working with you.
I’d also like to thank all members who took the time to cast their vote. The Council and its elections are pivotal to the College’s work, and it is your participation that gives them their strength.”
A reminder that our main Council Elections for two Consultant posts and one Anaesthetist in Training or Fellow in Training will open with a call for nominations on the 26 September. More details can be found here.
