ACSA reaccreditation for Royal Bolton Hospital

Royal Bolton Hospital has been reaccredited under the prestigious Royal College of Anaesthetists (RCoA) Anaesthesia Clinical Services Accreditation (ACSA) scheme, demonstrating the Hospital’s commitment to patient safety and excellence of care.    

ACSA is the RCoA’s peer-reviewed scheme that promotes quality improvement and the highest standards of anaesthetic service. To receive accreditation, departments are expected to demonstrate high standards in areas such as patient experience, patient safety and clinical leadership.  

ACSA lead reviewer, Dr Emma Jane Hosking said:  

“Congratulations to Bolton on their successful re-accrediation. We are grateful to the department for bearing with us for what was an unusually drawn-out hybrid process secondary to the COVID-19 restrictions. We were impressed by the cohesiveness of the department, the strong links with the management of the trust, the use of community-based facilities and the patient-centred nature of the peri-operative care provided.”
